It has been an honor for me to have such beautiful words
grace my site. I would like to thank each of you,
because without you, my site would not touch the hearts
of so many. Your
kindness and willingness to
share is very much
appreciated.
God Bless all of you.
Joe Pielmeier was known and loved
by many. Joe left us December 5, 2002.
I still miss Joe's witty emails. His
gentleness, kindness and sense of humor. His pride
in his family. His willingness to share. He truly
touched my heart.
I only had the pleasure of speaking to Joe one
time but his emails always put a smile on my face.
Joe is still with us through his beautiful words and art.

My name is Mack McGee. Poetry
flows when I am
in a writing mood and the subject can be anything.
I have written poetry for years and write it for
my
own satisfaction, not for others, although some of
my poems have been published here and there.
I live in Dallas, Texas, and have been blessed in
that
I made a mark in my profession, have a wife that
put
up with me for 58 years (in June), and have three
grown
children that all live in Dallas and of whom we
are extremely proud, and whom we see often. What
more can a man ask.
Grew up in Oklahoma, was in Naval Intelligence in
WWII,
was educated at Colorado U., Oklahoma City
University,
and Rutgers, and hold degrees in business ,
finance, and
law. We have lived in several major cities in the
U.S., and
two years in Mexico City.
We keep busy, fit, and are very happy in
retirement. Our
objective is to live a little life each day, be
born at dawn,
die with the setting sun, and not miss anything in
between.

Hi, I'm Robert
I am disabled from a hit and run accident back in
1986. A divorced dad with one son name Timmy whom
I love very much. I have played guitar for 35
years now and started writing poetry two years
ago.
Seems I mostly write on the subject of love, it's
just what I feel in my heart.
Karen has allowed me to grace her site with my
poems and I thank her for allowing me the
chance for others to read my writing and I hope
they enjoy it as I do when writing.

My name is Sue Lorraine. Rainey is a childhood
nickname of mine. I grew up in Southern Illinois.
I moved to northern Illinois when I was a senior
in high school and lived between there and
southern Illinois all my life.
I am a single mother of five grown children, and
grandmother to eight little wonders. I have three
sons and twin daughters. I have three
granddaughters and five grandsons.
Blue is my favorite color and my eyes are blue
also, that is where the blue eyes comes from in my
screen name. I work in the health care field, I
work as a Vocational Trainer Specialist with
developmentally disabled adults. It is a job that
I really love and get many rewards from.
My main and favorite hobby is writing my words in
the form of poetry and crocheting. I have written
poetry for years but just started sharing my
writing a few years ago when I got a computer. I
started sharing my thoughts on the poetry corner.
I met most of my Internet friends there and have
made some wonderful friends through my poetry.
Most of my writing comes from my past experiences
and my inner feelings. The way I see and view
life. I am in four poetry groups on the Internet
and also a short story group.
I was introduced to Karen's site by a poet that I
met on the poetry corner, Robert Small. I never considered myself
much of a poet, but I do enjoy the writing and
sharing of my thoughts.
I am on my eleventh year as a cancer survivor. And
I thank God everyday for letting me to continue
on. I have learned not to take life for granted,
and I live each day to the fullest and I enjoy my
life.
I am a Taurus by sign and find that I have lots of
the characteristics.
Truth and honesty have always been important to
me. I treasure my friends and my family.
I am a die hard Chicago Cub fan, and an avid
Chicago Bears fan also.
I enjoy baseball and football.
I am single and have been for many years. Love is
very a very important part of my life. My favorite
singer is James Taylor and my favorite band is the
Eagles. I love music, mostly the old rock and roll
of the 70s and 80s.
I have always been a country girl, growing up in a
farming community. I was raised by my grandparents
and learned much wisdom from them both.
I want to thank everyone for reading my poetry and
for all the kind and nice comments. I appreciate
all the sweet words and it means a lot to me.

We met online on the poetry corner. We started
writing to each other with comments on each others
poetry. After a while we started chatting and then
Robert wanted us to write some poetry together, we
started with one about our online friendship and
went from there with the rest of them. We enjoy
sharing our words and thoughts, and have become
very good friends. I have found that sharing
poetry and our words came very easy for us. And we
continue to write and share our feelings and
thoughts.
Together we want to thank everyone for all the
wonderful comments on our poetry, all the kindness
from everyone is truly appreciated. The lovely
graphics and music makes our poems very special to
us.

My name is Shirley Jean Pickens. I was born
April 5, 1938 in Decatur, Georgia.
I have lived in the Atlanta, Georgia area all
but the two years of my life that my family and
I resided in Winter Heaven, Fl. in my younger
years.
I have always loved and remembered the times my
Dad would read me books and poetry. I think this
is where my love poetry truly began.
Always to remember....never to forget.....
I began writing poetry at the age of fifteen. My
love of poetry has always been a special part of
me. I graduated from Decatur High School June 1,
1956 and was married to my husband, James, June
1, 1957....47 years and counting...*smile*...
We are retired and enjoy traveling, fishing and
spending time with our family, grandangels and
friends. We have three children .... actually
six since we don't call their spouses "in-laws."
.....*smile*..... We have four grandangels, 19,
6, 4 and 1.
God has been so good to all of us. I give Him
all the praise and glory. I always try to
remember Him and the blessings He has given in
my poetry for it is He who puts the words in my
heart to write.
Through my poetry, I have gained so many
wonderful friends on the net. I would like to
thank each of you for being my friend in Christ.
To all of you, I wish a wonderful "God-filled"
"Blue Sky Day" always.
I truly hope that in some small way my little
poems will be a true blessing to those who read
them.
I wish you butterflies and rainbow skies....
Lovely flowers and sunny hours.... I also wish
you "Angels On Your Pillow."

My name is Ginny Bryant and I live in Virginia.
My husband and I have four wonderful married
children and nine precious grandchildren. I have
been writing poetry for years but never wrote
seriously until two years ago. I would love to
have a book of poetry published one day.
God has been good to me and my family and I write
about him a lot because he is always near me. I
like to read Historical Romances but each time I
do a part of the story makes me think of a good
poem and seems I can never finish
a chapter before I am writing again. Life has
been good to me. My wonderful husband of 54 years
is my biggest fan. It has been a pleasure to write
for so many wonderful people and to meet so many
talented Authors. Yes, life has been very good to
me and I have so much to be thankful for. It is my
hope that you will find inspiration and comfort
when reading my poetry.

Hello friends and fellow poets. Glad you
stopped by.
I was born in Worcester, MA in 1948. Am one of ten
children having 3 sisters and six brothers, I being the
oldest girl. Married with two grown children and one
grandson who is my pride and joy.
My journey thru life has taken me on some wonderful
adventures from Mideastern dancer/instructor, 4H leader,
cub scout den mother, Nurse's Aide, Administrative
Assistant and Activities Director for those who
suffer Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. In 2001,
I became disabled so now use my time in reading and
writing poetry. It is my therapy, my candy!
I started writing as a way of expressing/releasing my
inner thoughts. Poetry has become my salvation with ink
running through my veins and although I never know where
the muse may lead me, most of my work is based on
factual events and experience.
Mostly, I write for the love of it but am very proud of
the many awards received and the anthologies that have
published some of my scribbles.
Many things inspire me to write. Life, death, nature,
loved ones, illness, disease, friendship, patriotic and
a little of this and that. Family and friends are very
important to me and people with Dementia/Alzheimer's
disease have a very special place close to my heart. In
reading my works you'll take notice that my pen is often
dipped in the inkwell of memory. Some of my writings are
uplifting while others can be quite sad. My intent is to
reach my viewers on different levels. I hope my words
reach out and touch you and perhaps leave an imprint on
your heart.

My name is Lisa Ewert...sometimes
known as Sunshine, Solana (Spanish for sunshine)
or Smiley. I live in a rural area of Wisconsin
along with my husband Jerry, my son Michael, and
our two cats Lacey and Rambo.
My poetry and website are not only a creative
outlet for me, but my way of connecting with
others in the hope that I might touch their lives
in a positive way. It has given me the
opportunity to make some wonderful friends; help
others express their life experiences; voice my
own views and feelings; and to grow as a person.
I began writing poetry on a small scale as a
child, when I would write a poem for a member of
my family or for friends. I did not start writing
more seriously until after we got online in 1998
and my internet friends encouraged me to share my
writing with others. I am grateful for all of the
support I receive from my friends, family and the
people who visit my site. It never fails to make
my day when I receive a note from someone telling
me that one of my poems helped them in some way
and that my "Words From The Soul" made a
difference.

My name is
Gloria Martel and my website is Gloria's Glen.
I started on the internet not knowing one iota
about a computer. I must admit, I still don't
know a lot. My daughter makes most of my
graphics for my site. I also have some
beautiful graphics from other websites that I
have used. I have been through a lot of
happiness in my life as well as a lot of
sorrow. Most of my poems are concerning where I
turned to for help. I have lost a daughter, my
mother and father, my brother, and just two
years ago, my husband joined them. I wrote
poetry to put into words the comfort I have
received in dealing with all of these
"goodbyes". I only hope people receive a
blessing from my words should they be dealing
with such sorrow themselves. I also have written
a lighter form of verse for many years. I used
to print my own greeting cards with verses that
I wrote. You will find the lighter side of my
poetry in Gloria's Glen #2 along with my tribute
pages for 911 as well as my Holiday pages.
May God
bless each and everyone.

Most of my life from the age of 8 my family was
broken up, and then raised in a foster home with
my two sisters until the age of 19, graduated
from high school & had some college,
I took my unpleasant things in my early
childhood & made them to be a blessing to me to
pursue life for all that it has, the good, bad,
the ugly, and made life work for me to make
something of myself, I began writing in 1968
until the present day, I have had two poems
published "I Only Ask You" in March of 2000 in
the "America at the Millennium",,"The Theatre of
the Mind" in December of 2003,,,"The Garden Gate
of Love" published in the "Colors of the Heart"
in February of 2004,I must say that I write from
the heart of what it is saying to me, A lot of
times I receive my poems & verses by just soft
music & candlelight just by setting the scene, I
also am an active Christian & enjoy giving of
myself to help others & visit the sick in the
hospitals as well with scripture & prayer too, I
am truly blessed when I see others touched by
something that I have done, In closing I would
like to leave you with this thought,,,pick up
the broken pieces of your life as I did, for
they are valuable pieces of your life, for God
will help you put them all back together as a
new life once again,
Respectively,,,,

I was born and lived the first 36 years of my
life in northern Illinois and the last 40 ears
in a small town in northern Arkansas. I am
widowed 9 years, have 3 children, 8
grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Having
worked my entire adult life I managed to find 3
totally varied careers. First was nursing in
one form or another; second was policewoman and
third was real estate agent. Most satisfying
was nursing; most interesting was police work;
most fun was selling real estate. Now have been
retired 14 years.
But, being retired was rather boring, so, my son
suggested a computer when I was 73 years old.
The mere thought was overwhelming, but, I
accepted the challenge and he agreed to teach me
all I needed to know. Unfortunately, he passed
away following heart surgery a few months
later. So, I found myself having to learn what
I had to know to keep my computer through
e-mails from a very dear friend in Canada. I
know this was a huge job for her, but, she never
gave up on me. Thanks to her I am where I am
today.
I started writing friendship poems just to
thank her and discovered I enjoyed putting
rhyming words together. So, my hobby of writing
poetry was born.
Now I have friends all over the world and I am
finding "old age" is the best time of my life.
I just wish I could have gotten older sooner
'cause it is so much fun.

Hello everyone! My name is Mary Hession
(pronounced heshon) and I live in the South of
England.
I honour all races, all colours and all creeds,
for there are many paths up to the top of the
mountain, which all eventually lead to the one
summit, but there is only one way and that is
THE WAY OF LOVE.
It matters not what name we use to pray, for
there is only one God who is known by many
different names ~ GOD IS LOVE and LOVE IS GOD
My God is LOVE and NATURE is my
church.
I thank God for the numerous gifts and
blessings that He/She has bestowed upon me in
great abundance. Amongst the many are ~ the gift
of music ~ the gift of poetry ~ the gift of Love ~
and the gift of Life itself.
In eternal love and gratitude, I dedicate my
life, my music and my poetry to our Heavenly
Father/Mother God ~ The Divine Creative Source of
All that IS
The Holy Spirit inspires me and flows like a
great river through all of my compositions. They
are musical and poetic interpretations of the
living presence of God in all things.
May all that journey through my pages be
blessed with God's Love.
