The grief that I feel today
So much sorrow and pain
A wonderful friend gone forever
An angel that Heaven will gain.

Memories of our friendship
Will stay within my heart
And I will think of you each day
Though we are far apart.

I think of you in Heaven
No more sorrow, no more pain
Where the sun is always shining
No darkness and no rain.

I grieve for your family
The sorrow they must bear
That they may know so many
Who knew you and truly care.

It's always hard to say good bye
To those we love so much
Knowing that we will never
See their smile or feel their touch.

Yet as I grieve for my special friend
His precious family too
Know each time you see a rainbow
He'll be looking down on you.

I want to tell your family
That my love is with them today
May God ease their aching hearts
Bring them comfort in some small way.

When the sun shines each morning
Or a graceful bird flies above
I will think of you my special friend
With sadness, yes, with love.
