Winter's Delight

Awww, the Winter wonderland
As the snow covers the ground
Children running, playing
Building snowmen, snow ball fights
Everyone has joy taking part in it all

Soft gentle flakes of snow
Northern winds of winter starting to blow
Children all bundled up and ready to go
Building forts of ice and snow
Snowmen standing in the yards aglow

The horse pulled carriages
As we take a ride through the city
Looking at all the lights
All the sweets and goodies
Oh my, what a delight

All the excitement from the flakes of white
The long cold winter's night
Sitting by the fire so warm and bright
Sipping hot chocolate by candle light
Snuggling together so close and tight

Laughing, smiling as pictures we take
All the memories of keep sake
Having the camcorder charged and ready
Never knowing what will happen next
Maybe Grandma or Grandpa
Will do a funny dance

The snow keeps falling to the ground
Nightfall arrives without a sound
All cuddled up in pajamas and ready to sleep
Snow covered thoughts and wintery dreams
Boots and coats all ready to go
When tomorrow comes with more snow
