The Wedding  Band

I awoke this morning to the sound of birds singing
No more waiting and dreaming
The days of planning are at an end
And today our lives together will begin
And this is the happiest day of my life
Today my love, we will become husband and wife.

The church bells will be ringing
The choir will be singing
Today our vows will be spoken
Never to be broken
A circle of gold paced upon our hands
The symbol of our love, the wedding band

This is the day I've waited for all my life
Today we become husband and wife
I'll walk down the aisle in satin-n-lace
To meet my love face to face
You'll place a circle of gold upon my hand
The symbol of our union, the wedding band.
