Saying Goodbye

When we say goodbye to someone
We loved and held so dear,
It seems our hearts are breaking
As we wipe each falling tear.

We'll miss their smiles and loving ways,
An empty void we'll feel.
We know in time our tears will dry
And the pain will slowly heal.

For we know that safe in Heaven
On golden streets they trod.
We held their hand in this world,
Now, They hold the hand of God.
