Once a friendship has been made
Life's journey doesn't seem so dull and plain
Traveling with a friend by your side
Makes something more special out of your life

Once you have found that lifetime friend
A new and fresh living and loving time will begin

That special friend is as close as the nearest phone

When things look a little dark and down
And when that smile turns to a frown
Suddenly you know that not too far away
There is a friend waiting with a smile for your day

Once in a life time we find that long awaited companionship
A long and undying kind of friendship
When the darkest days need a light

A friend that lights the way
Staying by your side night and day
Someone you can talk to anytime
