Going through her dresser
She found a note
Sitting on the edge of their bed
Tears falling as she read
Good Morning, My Love
I pray you slept well
And had sweet dreams
I was missing you before
I headed out the door
What we shared last night
Will bring Sweet Memories
Each and every day
As we head out to sea
I'll be thinking of you
Every step I take
Hopefully, the kids and
Everyone understands
I have a duty to fulfill
And We, My Brothers at arms
Have to keep Our Country safe
No matter what it takes
Just keep us in your prayers
Day and Night that We All survive
And return Safe and Alive
I'll hug and hold you all
When I get back
But, it must be for now,
I'm on duty call
May God Bless us All.
