My Mother

A beautiful lady with many years behind her
Tender with love, so much life, joy, and cheer.
So strong, and witty, and so very smart,
With much joy and cheerful song in heart.
Brave and true, with much love to give,
Such hard work, a dedicated life of love she chose to live.
This beautiful lady I'm proud to say,
Is my mother, and a wife, day by day.
She cleaned my knees, and dried my tears,
What a price to pay for all her years.
Now the gray has dressed her long flowing hair.
She never minded the tender love and care.
Many times my mom grew so very tired,
But she still gave, never once was she under powered.
With all my heart I truly pray
Eternal life in heaven she will stay.
God! Bless my mom I dearly love,
Her deserved reward in heaven up above.
Now I'm grown with children of my own
Sadly my childhood days have come and gone.
Many miles from my mom I am,
But in my mothers arms I wish to stay.
I dread the miles from my dear mother,
For when I need that loving touch, there is no other.

I love you Mom
