Loving Harmony
 

I am the wide open desert, cool at night
You are the beach, glowing with the sun
Shining brightly down on me
Even though we are different in ways
We can live in harmony

I am rain and you are fire
Together we open up a flaming desire
You love the heat and the sunshine
I love the cool of the evening night
Not always the same me and you
Yet together we sing a lovely heart's tune

You are the thunder that rumbles and cries
I am the lightning that lights up the dark sky
Together, we feel what we need to thrive
Hand in hand, heart and heart, soul to soul
We live, we breath, we are what the other one needs

I am all the stars amid the night
You are the full moon so pretty and bright
Surely needing each other to survive
Freely giving ourselves to the other
Together you and I, is what keeps this love alive

You have your ways, I have mine
I am the day, you are the night
A child of the city born and bred
I am country raised, pure corn fed
Little differences like these
Make our life together more interesting

I have my ideas how things should be
And you have your own but,
Together, we compromise, meeting in the middle
Agreeing two heads are better than one
Reaching a conclusion of how things should be done

You had the ocean in your back yard
I had a pond and a big red barn
Bright shining lights lit up your night
Raising corn and harvesting was my plight
I am a whole lot of country
You are the city life
Together, we glow bright
