Another Season
We feel the weather changing
See the birds beginning to fly South
And know Fall is on the way
A wonderful time of year
For the coming holidays
Halloween and Thanksgiving too
Just to mention a few
Witches and goblins my oh my
On a full moon night they'll take flight
A falling leaf dancing to ground
Colors changing all around
Flowers loosing their glow
Withering away before the first snow
Harvest time arriving soon
Along with goblins, ghost and goons
Autumn felt in the evening time
As the air gets crisp at night
Before we know it, Winter will be here
As the holidays grow near
Going up to a house you better be careful
You'll never know what you may find
Scary music playing with lights burning bright
Witches and goblins are having a party tonight
Ghost swirling through the air without any care
Shall we take a dare or be scared
Laughing at stories told
Some new, some old
Carving a pumpkin
Putting seeds in the oven to roast
As we talk about Thanksgiving too
Knowing it will be here in a blink of an eye
As we share a toast to me and you
September's song is just about done
As October comes near
Facing the favorite time of the year
When families and friends get together for
some laughs and good cheer
Children looking forward to all the fun times
Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, when all eyes shine
Seems like each year time goes a little faster than the year before
As summer says good bye and winter knocks at the door
Trees with their beauty shining in the evening autumn sun
Leaves floating to the ground with a tuneful hum
Pumpkins getting ready to make their debut
As we share another season together, me and you
