A love meant to be

A Love Meant To Be

You will age and so will I
But, our love will stay alive
Giving of ourselves each day
Never letting it slip away
Friends we were from the start
But lovers we became
Much love and happiness
We have shared along the way
And lovers we will stay
You will always be in my heart

Years will come our way
And time will pass us each day
Another wrinkle here and there
Through the time we will share
You made a home inside my heart
Capturing my love from the start
I know this love will last through time
As we, together make a life
This love I take seriously
Withstanding through all trials completely

The love and care we have for each other
All that we share
With one another is something
I will always cherish
For I feel it was meant to be
From heaven above
I promise you all my love
For as long as we live
Never to stray or take it away
For you are the one
I want to share my all with
Living and sharing daily with you
all I have to give

It has always been my pleasure
To have your love to cherish and treasure
Years might make their mark
But years will never fade the love in my heart
All the things that we have been through
Only made my love grow more precious and true
The mirror might show some age and imperfection
Maybe a new crease or irregularity
Never fading in my eyes will be the loving beauty
Of all that we share, and all that we feel
Age only increases the thoughts and memories
Being together, you and me

As you say, years will come our way
And I say, together we will age
There's nothing more in life I want than you
A love that fills my soul
Loving you, loving me, completely
Together, we are one
Whatever comes our way
I will always trust in the Lord
It was meant to be
Knowing I have your love
Assuring you, you have mine for eternity
