Thank You My Friend

A good friend you can talk to
Who listens with an open ear
Always in your corner
To wipe away sad tears.

A good friend makes you laugh a lot
Brings joy into your life
Makes everyday so happy
Removes the gloom and strife.

A special friend is always there
Looking out for my concern
Never asking for a single thing
Wants nothing in return.

I'll take this time to thank you
You mean so much to me
I'd like for everyone to know
Respect is my friendship key.

No jealousy or envy
Only happiness we share
I will always care for you
And what I have I will share.

That's what friends are supposed to do
Stick together come what may
