Measured Friendship

With the world in a turmoil
Worry never seems to end
It's that special time in our life
When we truly need a friend.

In kindness listen to your needs
Maybe add a word or two
Someone to sit and talk with
As good friends often do.

Maybe I owe that someone
Sometime to voice their heart
They are always there for me
And have been from the start.

If we measure our friendship
Everyone could surely see
We balance out just perfectly
Just the way that it should be.
