If I had the youth of yesterday
Could step so light and free
Get up with vim and vigor
How happy I would be.
If I could eat a hot dog
And heartburn never came
I'd have one of them everyday
And never feel the pain.
If I could dance like I use to
Or go on a nice long hike
And oh my dear what I wouldn't give
To ride on another bike.
Alas my friend the day has come
Many things I cannot do
I'm still so thankful for many things
Like special friends such as you.
