My precious Jesus died for me
On the cross on Calvary.
He hung on that cross and suffered so
His pain we will never know.

The greatest love in the world is free
My heart is open wide for thee.
Please know that I love you with all my heart
I know I did from the very start.

He died for me I'm so ashamed
That I never once praised his name.
Yet the love was always a breath away
It was only hard for me to say.

When I see lightening in the sky
I know he'll be coming by and by.
To receive us in his home above
And covet us with eternal love.

This Easter as I say my prayers
I know he hears me because he cares.
I give you my life, I hope you see
For you gave your life dear Jesus for me.
