A Dream Of A Friend

Do you ever have a dream
Where you do not want to wake
A dream of all the friends you have
And those you'd like to make.

I had a dream like that one time
And when my dream was through
The one person I thought about
My dearest friend was you.

A gift of friendship is very rare
I've been fortunate to have a few
Some lasted for a long time
Few were old and some were new.

I would like to say thank you
For always being around
A dream of a friend you'll always be
A wonderful friend I've found.
