Cross On A Chain

I have have a very simple cross
That hangs upon a chain
I wear it when the sun shines
And wear it when it rains.

It symbolizes many things
Of what God can provide
Like a loving home and family
Or a friend by my side.

I keep it close to my heart
And when I think of you
I touch my cross and close my eyes
And hope you think of me too.

So as I wear my cross each day
I know deep in my heart
How many years may pass us by
We'll not be far apart.

So know I think of you today
And send you all my love
May God bless and keep you
Be with you from above.
