Has the heat gotcha?
Boy it's sure got me
As I sit out here in the yard
Under this here tree.

I think about all that snow
I griped about months ago
I could take a cruise to Alaska
If I only had the dough.

Think I'll turn the sprinkler on
Just cool off a little bit
But all the city officials
Would surely have a fit.

They say conserve all your water
Use as little as you can
But electricity is so expensive
I can't sit by the fan.

Guess I'll just sit here and sweat
Looking forward to winter for sure
And when the snow piles up outside
I'll just wish for summer once more.
