A Mother's Courage

A Mother's Courage

You never got a medal
Or reward of any sort
So now I'd like to honor you
The courage of a Mother's heart.

You fought the toughest battle
With honor, distinction and love
I know you had a lot of help
From our Savior up above.

Never complained, not one time
The hurt and tears you shed
Many nights you laid awake
Tossing in your sleepless bed.

You displayed a hero's courage
Your rules were always fair
You kept us close in mind and heart
Because you always care.

Many times your wounds were covered
Fighting evil forces to win
Praying a lot along the way
Then starting all over again.

How many times you wiped a tear
Your kiss like the flutter of a dove
Mom you deserve this medal
For a Mother's courage of love.
